Peep toe etiquette

Rather rashly I bought a pair of peep-toe wedges to wear to a school workshop tomorrow. It's going to be colder than I hoped.

What is the etiquette about wearing tights or socks under peep-toes? Is it a no-no.

I think opaque tights are OK, although I must admit it does still feel a bit 'against the grain'.

But opaques were a necessity with those strappy shoe/sandal/boot things which were around last season (and may still be around FAIK...[not read Vogue lately emoticon])

I think 15 denier with seam would be a no-no though. HTH... will watch!

Thank you, MrsSB, I was wondering about opaques.

I was browsing yesterday and I saw tights which had a ski pant bottom type thing - no good for tomorrow really but worth looking at in future - I'll try and remember where I was looking./.......

But I would wear skin coloured but probably not black or anything

You've just reminded me that I have a pair of something very similar to those, sweetheart. I just wonder whether my exposed toes will look rather whithered and frozen, though.

i believe coloured opaques are fine with peep toes. however i would never wear any "flesh coloured" tights with them, with the exception of nude fishnets, which also look fine with peep toes imo

Off to raid tights drawer to see what I have!

The shoes are being worn under trousers anyway so hopefully not too much of an issue.

Just don't want scary pupils staring at my inappropriate footwear.
