Advice on clogs

Are they the next big thing or just the easist way to annoy everyone I pass in the street?

I love them, but wonder if I am just being nostalgic for my childhood in the 70's. Shall I buy them if I want and forget how noisy and impractical they are?

They are lovely, jj. I guess if SJP is photographed wearing the Hasbeens in the new Sex and the City film, they are the way to go!

Jolie - I've got those in chestnut - arrived yesterday and I'm really pleased with them.

Also have the hasbeens on my wish list.

Buy them buy them buy them. Look cool, feel comfy, very eco-whatsit, last forever, what's not to like?

I've ordered some red Swedish Hasbeens and am awaiting their arrival. Can't decide whether they are what I have hankered after since childhood or crocs with heels

Time will tell...

They are really nice. I also love the ones SJP has in the new film.

Love clogs - have never stopped wearing them actually. HAve a nice bronze pair from Plumo from a couple of years ago.
I think it is all based on memories of 70's childhood too - always, always wanted clogs/wedges, always fobbed off with start-rite or whatever!
I do think they fall into the category of shoe that men hate, not that that matters an iota!

They have some here which are cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

That's what I've ordered, fishie- and in a 41 I will let you know how they come up.

ooh good. quelle coleur?

i was a bit put off by all that talk of extra long and normal wrists.

Hmm, I know. I glossed over it and am just hoping they'll fit.

I got the red ones, although am now wishing I'd got black. I just wanted red ones when I was 7.

Tethersend - no red sounds great. Have bought these but am wanting to channel Olivia NJ (minus the satin skinnies)in the red clogs. They would look cool with a stripey top and jeans. Anyway even DH commented on how much he liked the ones I bought- which is unheard of!

I got my hasbeens this morning- they are fab

Fit perfectly- was worried they would be too narrow but not at all. Glad I got the 41 though, as the length is not generous.

What do you think of these.

I was going to get these in natural

Which do you think?

Tethersend - is the red as gorgeous as it looks?

I've been looking at the recent posts on here re clogs & to be honest, I'm feeling the urge...
How -comfortable- fabulous are they in RL?

Oh, Traceybath, I quite like the look of those topshop ones - I really cant justify spending the cash on the Hasbeens although I do love the high ones the most. I'm just thinking that I wont get that much wear out of them and that they will probably only be one season (although I thought that about Uggs!!)

Report
tethersend · 22/02/2010 14:31

The red is nice and rich, very happy.

They are much more comfortable than I thought, they don't feel that high.

tracey, I would get the topshop ones; my betting is that they are just as well made as the hasbeens.

They are lovely!

I like them, I think they would look really nice with jeans skirt (shortish ones).

Just a question, I am 6ft1 and I am too tall to wear them, aren´t I??? (as they have such a chunky heel). Yes I am

oooh tethersend tell me more...

i have got short feet with long toes and high instep. hasbeens are sounding very good for my flippers.

I love clogs & sabots.

Have a pair of pink suede clogs & a "traditional" leather/wood pair-which I even bike in!
