I need to know this too, someone suggested I ask on the forums at Lush (my henna is from there) but I can't be bothered haven't got round to it.

What I actually need though is a hair dye that continues to dye my new hair as it grows

Am lazy.

mine is from lush as well.

i mean, i'm going to dye over it anyway but it would be nice to know beforehand whether i'm wasting my money or not?

Don't do it.

AFAIK the hair dye will open up the hair shaft and push the henna further in and leave the colour in a right mess. Some hairdressers will dye it for you but you need to ask around and find one that knows what they are doing.

Dear God, don't!

I had dyed blonde hair and put BodyShop black henna on it and my hair went bottle green. The only way to get it out was to make a paste of washing powder and sit with that on my head, not a good look. It went paler and paler green!

oh really?

whats moger?

hair is dark brown. henna'd bits are chestnutty. is about 2 inches worth and have shortish hair anyway...might just chop those bits off...

i just thought the dye wouldn't take, didn't think it would spoil hair

I have had wine tonight and I keep reading this thread as
'can you dye a hyena'

i imagine dying a hyena might look very similar to my hair...
