to keep or chuck?

am sorting through cosmetics today and found a brown lipstick today suggested by mac lady...nice in tube job but wondering if anyone can really look good in RL wearing it regardless of colouring or am i just teaming it with the wrong blusher/eyeshadows and that's what makes me look like the undead
