Goodness, that's nice.

[Backtracks]

Think of it like a diet - the craving will go and you will feel good.

Or like Lent - the longing and the absence is a feeling of virtue in disguise.

Right I know you are tall and slim (despite your protestations that you still have weight to lose) but really that dress looks the model look shapeless and fat..

DONT DO IT.

Honestly if you are going to fall off the bandwagon do it for something worth it. I expected better from you.

Lovely. Wish I hadn't seen it actually

"looks the model look shapeless and fat.."

should be

"makes the model look shapeless and fat"

Look at the back view - SHAPELESS.

It's awful are you all having brain melts tonight?

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOO

At that price, it's practically compulsory.

LOL Choo, no am not that bad!! that was the Malene Birger Grecian one ... it had an odd lurex tie belt thing and was a glorified sun dress. Never really understood where the Grecian bit came into it unless they were particularly fond of lurex tie belts???

Gorgeous but unflattering on. Don't do it!!!

VerityBrulee · 07/01/2010 22:20

OK, how many LBDs do you have already?

how often do you wear them?

how is this dress different from them?

Report
VerityBrulee · 07/01/2010 22:26

If you really want a black drapey dress, I lurve this one but sadly don't have the lifestyle to go with it. Would suit your Sydney life though

VB - on the black dress count:

One halter maxi thingy
another halter maxi thingy but with diamante halter - sounds tacky but was £20 from a charity shop and is very Priscilla Presley back in the Vegas days, I love it.
One short strappy jersey babydoll style by Paul & Joe Sister, bought last year as maternity dress, not sure how good it will look now
One Chloe dress, dead simple from front but has flutter sleeves and cut out back and is stunning

That's it!

The Chloe one is the only really evening-y one, so I guess this is akin to that. yet different. And lovely. And the shapelessness is a good thing, it will throw my skinny arms and sticky-out collar bone into an even better light making me look skinny all over don't you see?????

Hmm, I can see that it's a steal at 70 pounds, but I'm not crazy about it, but I think with your colouring it would probably look better on you than on the model

However, I am not enabling you

went away and watched an episode of 24.

Jack Bauer would fancy me in that dress.

Hmm it's nice from the front, but the back view is very bleugh. You could find better for the price, I bet!

Report
Poppity · 08/01/2010 00:28

It's a bit too boring plain and shapeless simple.

It does make the model look fat

I like Verity's one though

Report
OurLadyOfPerpetualSupper · 08/01/2010 00:28

It ends at the least flattering point on most women's legs, makes a model (!) look fat, is shapeless and has a boob-squashing neckline.

How's that?

Report
LetThemEatCake · 08/01/2010 00:34

tbh, that model is a bit shapeless

look at any photo on that site. It's not the dress, it's her. Fugly knees.

A GOOD dress would make her look fantastic. Sorry even with a good nights sleep that dress (whilst I like the draped theme) is not flattering.

It is hugely reduced for a reason! It is shapeless and uninteresting. Also do you really need it or do you just want it?

Report
vesela · 08/01/2010 09:29

No. I don't like this at all, knees or not. No way.

Stick with diamante halter neck and Chloe flutter one - they sound great.
