No I haven't got raging conjunctivitis, I can't put bloody fake eyelashes on!

Oh good god!

I have just spent the last 20 minutes fighting with a pair of caterpillar like eyelashes.
I have now managed to glue most of my natural eyelashes into a terribly attractive clumpy mess.

Why can't I do it?

Please give me your top tips on applying the bloody monsters.
