Berkhamsted hairdressers - any recommendations

Desperately need a recommendation for a good hairdresser/colourist in the Berkhamsted area.

I've recently moved to the area and my username says it all!

I've tried posting this under MN Local but with no luck.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Hello! Trio is very good but quite pricey. Zen also quite good but a bit hit and miss.

I have just started using a local hairdresser who comes to the house - she works part-time in a salon - and she's brilliant! Half the price, she's really adaptable and cuts my DD's hair as well.

Depends if you want the whole 'salon experience' (whatever that is!) but if you want to save time and money ... let me know, I'll give you her number.

Thanks CJs - that would be great but I don't have CAT. Is it OK to put her number on here do you think?

Someone else mentioned Christopher John to me - do you know them?

I tried looking for people with nice haircuts in Waitrose to ask this morning but they were annoyingly elusive!

Bumping in the hope of any other Berkhamsted locals out there.

Have tried most of them and for last 3 years have stuck with Ciente. Think they are v good. Pleasant place, good stylists. Lots of friends go there too. Not cheap but then none of them are - although have used their junior stylists that have been fine and abit cheaper.

Thanks - yes I've noticed that none of them are cheap. At least the fact that I've left it so long means I get relatively good value for my money I suppose

Shameless bump for any further suggestions. Going into town later in the hope that someone can book me in before Chrismas.

I don't live in Berhansted, only work there, but I've heard Ciente in pretty good and Altered Image is good for younger trendy cuts.

Thanks - just popped into Ciente and booked an appointment so will see how that goes.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I've been out. Have also heard good things about Ciente, so let me know how it goes!

I don't think I should really put this woman's contact details up on here. Will see if I can find a way of letting you know.

Hello and sorry for the hi-jack but if any of you have children at the Berkhampsted School there is someone in the Secondary Education forum asking for help.
I hope it was ok to do this.
