OMG hair appt tomorrow, no idea what to go for!

So, I currently have below shoulder hair, highlighted with a good 2 inches of roots - natural hair colour the dreaded mousy brown.

Bt I want to do something other than just have the 'usual'. Thinking of adding some darker warmer highlights.....or maybe adding layers.....

What styles are fashionable right now? Any celeb looks I can google?

I have pale skin and blue eyes. (was watching SATC the other day and thinking how amazing Miranda looks with the pale skin/blue eyes/red hair combination - but I don't want all over red since my roots would be not good)

The good thing about the 'usual highlights' is they hide a multitude of sins (fine hair is suddently thicker, any odd greys are gone or blended so well you can't see them)

I really need some help! There is a picture on my profile, but my hair is alot longer than that now, and with roots [lovely emoticon]

Any assistance gratfully received,
J&G

I like this style but this isn't the best pic of it It ususally looks choppier and flickier but I think it would suit your face shape.

you look dead young!

Oooh thanks Cybil for the lovely young comment big

Hair-wise, I do like that (maybe a longer version so can tie back) but I am not sure I would manage that kind of flickery to achieve that look

I had mine cut last week - it's Lily-esque but because it was long, she left the bottom layers past shoulder length, and I LOVE it. It's so bouncy and versatile - I can add oomph to the top layers for volume or make it all sleek, and the shape at the front is so nice.

yes jewels but with straight fringe due to hairdresser over zealousness. Tis veh easy to care for, and requires no straightening

OK, the lily is on the list, but really like this (and shows the colours I was thinking of too)

So, what did you do jewels?

Jewelsandgems · 06/12/2009 13:57

I had the alexa, and I am still getting used to it the hairdresser left the length longer and I think that was a mistake, so may get my mum to take a few inches off

Any it was dried very 'volumous' so looks a bit 'big'

I've had a version of the Alexa for a while, and on me it looks better shorter, otherwise it just looks like I'm growing it out IYSWIM.

I'm sure you look gorgeous!
