Bathrobe help - what about this?

I want a new bathroobe/dressing gown. I wear one every morning for breakfast and then get dressed to it needs to be able to stand some wear. However, I am choosy and do not want massive towelling thing with flappy sleeves that end up in the marmelade.

I thought this:
here but think it could look really nice on their model, shit on me.

Or also like:
this one

DH will be buying it for me, so no need to both so much on cost, but if I can bring in under £100 that would be ideal.

Thanks
J&G

The velvet one is gorgeous, nothing like a bit of glamour over the cornflakes

I got a 15% off code from white co the other day if you want it.

I have last years version of the boden one and I love it.

I love the way it doesn't look like a dressing gown, I wear it during the day over my jeans and top so I don't have to put the heating on.

Boden one doesn;t wash, which would be a dealbreaker for me

I like the White Co £48 velour one thus but I suspect I am less sophisticated (and more likely to end up covered in porridge) than you...

Greyskull how do you wash yours? And what is the fit like? Do you have it wrapped around quite a bit, or just a little?

MrsB yes, I do agree re the washing (hence question as per above) and agree the non machine washing is a bugger. The velour one would be perfect without the hood - I am not a fan of hoods.

verity I do love the harlow one and also have the 15% discount code (but thanks anyway) but my only worry is that it may be too slipprty and always be slipping open

Perhaps there is a combination of all my requirements out there? Any suggestions very welcome

I rummaged through my usual nightwear suspects (Toast, Carma, Bodas) but none are as nice as your choices....

I wash mine on a wool wash and it has been fine. it reshapes well.
it can wrap round (am large lady) if I want it to but also hangs nicely like an open cardi if I want it to.

I just got this year's BOden one and I am in love. I may never take it off. I actually have only removed it to sleep since it arrived yesterday.

There's absolutely no reason you can't wash it - I was all my wool, cashmere, and wool blends on the handwash cycle with woolite. Dry flat on towels spread on the floor or if you have a spare bed on the spare bed (on towels, again, of course!). WIll be absolutely fine. Never taken a single one to the drycleaner.
