Nordic kids...

i loooove the colours and shape and snuggly soft velour-ness of these trews for kids. my boys adore them too. i want loads... but at 22 quid a pop i am a leetle hesitant... i know american apparel do kids tracksuit bottoms in great bright colours for cheaper, but they arent elasticated at the bottom, nor are they stripey or as soft.

any ideas where to get funky, cosy, nice coloured, attractive clothes for kids?

If it's any consolation, their stuff washes and wears wonderfully, so it's almost worth buying fewer pieces and washing more. The other thing is you tend not to see so many other kids wearing the same stuff at the park and can pick yours out...

good point wahwah - i have some which we've had for ages, been through 2 of them (boys i mean) and still in pretty good nick. whereas the AA ones are not wearing so well... hmmm

yebbut... i now have 5 items in the basket that are utterly irresistable and yet it comes to 140 knicker. mind you... i suppose i will be paid soon... i just cant beleiev that they HAVE to be that pricey grrr

eek, ive done it. thats the xmas pressies sorted then.

dd is still wearing some of the things I bought for her when she was a yr old - she's now 2.6!!! Alright, the leggings come up shorter now but they still fit! as does one of the skirts (just quite short now).

Really good value for money and soooooooo lovely

They aren't that nice. Lime green velour tracksuit bottoms, elasticated at the bottom!? for £23? hmm

If you like trousers elasticated at the end (I don't) I was in H&M for kids today and every pair of trousers I picked up were elasticated at the bottom. I think it's yuck.

lots of danish stuff/same sort of brands at
thehedgepig.com
peaceandjam.co.uk

they both have excellent sales (unlike nordic kids who never seem to reduce anything)

ah maggie, i disagree. i love to see my kids in nice bright colours, it suits them. elasticated leg bottoms keep ends of trousers out of puddles a bit and look much nicer imo. and my kids love to be comfy.
otherwise its all high street standard fare of jeans/combats in varying colours of sludge and/or the ubiquitous camo. booooooring (and not all that comfy actually)
my nearly 4yo boy loves wearing the leggings too. hes v cool imo grin

mazzy - thanks for the tips.. i'll bookmark those.

I find the Scandinavian sizes are small so take a size up.

this company have some sale things and the clothes are very good.
