Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

can't think of any of the top of my head but can you tell me where the fabric shop is please as i think i would be interested in getting some of this fabric (if its the right colour!)

my last tunic top i layed down a tshirt and traced around it a couple of inches wider and longer. cut the fabric with the fold along the top so only had to sew under the arms and down the side then do the edges and viola it was done. it was in a lovely soft floaty silk tho.

show us what type of tunic top you were looking at making so we can have a lookt at a pattern.

My local fabric shop has got lots of merino knit fabric and i want to make myself a kind of funky tunic dress affair to go over long sleeved t-shirts and jeans/ skirts. Does anyone have any hint on making something like this - links to blogs or tutorials?

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
