Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Seconded Mac studio sculpt
It is the lovliest foundation I've ever used
Great coverage, lasts all day and has a lovely dewy finish
And it comes in a tube rather than a bottle, so it is easier to get the right amount out
I use Bobbi Brown Luminous Mousturising foundation. I love it becase it has light coverage and fives your skin a dewy luminous look which makes your skin look like new.

it got a brilliant review in the times.

I have sensitive skin (Roseacea)and dry patches, with oily patches - nightmare! Anyway, have tried loads of different ones out, really to see which irritate the least and cover the redness the best.

Anyway - steer clear of the Dior Nude Skin one. The bottle is v pretty and the consistency good, and great for colour match. Unfortunately it really irritated my skin after a week or so and took a long time to recover to its former (not so good) state. Really stinks of alcohol too, noticably so. That cannot be good.

Anyway, after much testing, I found Clinique Get Even best for cover, colour match and consistency. Not drying but not too shiny for the oily bits, just right. I'm on my third bottle of it now so can't be bad!

Bobbi Brown - best I've found yet. Better than clinique for me which I find too pink. Chanel was ok, but didn't quite do it. Oh, and I used to love 20 watts by Stila - was my favourite but i can't find it any more...
Sounds like we have the same skin.

For cheap I have always used Bourjeois (sorry pregnant brain can't spell - there was one with v good coverage but I can't seem to find it anymore)

I have just bought myself the most extravagent present ever - Creme de la Mer foundation and I have to say I love it, it makes my skin glow, even though I have a tendency to oiliness with dry patches, it just evens it all out.

I love Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser - gives good coverage without the cakiness of heavier foundations.
