Need some kind of waist cinching underwear to go under a dress = any tips?

Have got a floaty type dress that has a waist ribbon tie and need something to pull my waist in underneath the dress. I'm about a size 10 but typical apple shape (with tye added post baby bulge!) so need to create a waist artificially! Budget is very tight - ideally under £15 if possible. Any tips?

I like the corset ones that go from just under the bra to the hip (sometimes called waist cinchers or waist shapers). I have a "flexees". I hate the ones that are pants as they are more uncomfortable, a nuisance when you go the the toilet and can produce the muffin top look.

But there was a thread on this a while back and others disagreed with me

They have lots of options

here

I agree with muddleduck though. The ones that are like big knickers just push the flab to the top so it spills out like a fatty landslide.

Something like

this

might be good?

I was advised by the lovely saleswoman in Bravissimo to go to Primart. They do a version of Spanx, they are very cheap. I think they were about £10 or 15 and very good.

The only problem is that you cannot try lingerie on or return it so I ended up buying two sizes.

I like control bodies as they give you a really smooth line, and tend to be fabrics that don't catch at all either.

this one from M&S is good and not too pricey

Ive just bought a gok corset sex kitten one -which is like a corset but with no top bit.
Very effetcive at holding things in - not that easy to bend over though. I will be sat up straight whilst in it (which actually is nice!). The ribbons doing it up are bright pink and I'm wearing in over a blouse type thing (as per the pic on simplyyours) so its underwear as outerwear really. However it's duouble your budget so might not be suitable this time..
