I feel v tempted to buy another velvet Boden coat

I already have a black one and a moss green one (bought a couple of years ago). I love them and wear them to death.

I fancy this season's model in the rhubarb colour.

Does anyone want to slap me?

Carrotfly - yes, you can wear them in the rain. They are really nice to wear, and feel understatedly smart.

I think I'm going to go for it.

How do they fit? I am an extremely norky (36J) size 18 with narrow-ish shoulders and nearly all coats I ever try are too wide in the shoulder when I try and get a big enough size for norks.

So I end up in jackets or coats that don't come together in front (not such a problem as it's never really cold enough to have to do up a coat).

Laurie - I'm not sure about the fit for this season's coat as the cut looks much more fitted.

ANyone got one and care to tell us what the fit is like?

I've ordered it. I also ordered a spot velvet skirt in slate and black. I ordered the long even though I'm average 5' 6" height as I don't want it to be above the knee.

I also ordered a big button dress for DD and also a pink shirt for DS3. They don't have anything for my teen sons which is just as well as they would rather die than wear something that looks like it came from Boden. It's v uncool. I agree with them really but I do have a weakness for velvet.

It's lovely but possibly just a bit too Boden for me I think. Please report back though, as the colour is gorgeous.

I ordered it in Rhubarb and sent it back. It is very fitted. I'm a 12-14 but found the 12 too small, even at the top which is my smallest bit.

I found the material a bit thin for the money and just couldn't see me getting enough wear out of it to justify the price.

Lovely colour though.

I have one from 2007 too and although I really like it I'd prefer if it was a bit more fitted - so I'll await your verdict!
