Shoes, please, to go with this dress

I'm a S&B virgin, but I need your help. I'm going to a casual wedding in Italy next month, and I bought a dress from Monsoon today. I never wear dresses, because I have huge norks (34E) and I'm a short-arse (5ft), so they don't usually fit.

I can't find a picture of it, but it's two very thin layers of cotton - the underneath one is dark blue and the top one is turquoise. It has a v-neck and back, and is just below knee length.

What shoes, jewellery etc should I wear with it? I have blonde/fair hair and blue pale skin.

TIA

difficult to say without seeing dress

if it's a day do i'd avoid metallics tbh

either try to match the mavy/turquoise, or go for a nude colour

OK, pic on profile now.

I've always thought I was too pale to wear silver - maybe I should get a fake tan...

I have beige sandals (they're nicer than they sound!) that might be OK.

Thanks, ladies

That's lovely! (still think silver!)

Lovely dress.

If it is quite a casual wedding, I'd go for a tan sandal, with perhaps natural wood beads/bandle, and a clutch bag in somethign like raffia/straw.

How does that sound?

I agree with silver.

I like the idea of wood and raffia, but I just asked DS (who's far more stylish at 14 than I'll ever be!) and he said silver.

There are loads of shoe sales on in the city centre at the moment, so I'll go out at lunchtime tomorrow and investigate.

Thanks

I agree with missblythe if it is a casual wedding. Her suggestion sounds perfect to me!
