Difference between underwired and soft cup bras.

I have always worn underwired bras. I am a G cup.

Do you wear a soft cup bra? Is it better?

I need some new bras and am wondering why I have never looked at these. Do they offer enough support?

No no no!!! Soft cup bras don't give decent support or shape for anyone.

Haha. That's what I thought. But I'm hot and sweaty tooday and I think it's making me feel the underwire more.

So, where can I get some nice bras quite cheaply then?

Find my non-wire ones perfectly supportive but I'm a fair bit smaller than you.

I never understand how wire can add support, but have been told before that it does and helps with look of clothes too.
It's the strappage and how long the straps are for support for me.

I find wire ones so uncomfortable too. But my type is much harder to find and generally far less attractive, sexy ish looking bras. So I wear nice vests instead!!
Try one, you might like it..

The best selection of underwired bras for big boobs is Bravissimo. They do fab Panache bras for £23 and the shape is great, you can find them cheaper on ebay if you're sure of your size

Never had a soft cup bra for over 30 years...

a wired bra gives better shape and much more support- and I am only a B/C cup.

Try New Look- around £8, or even www.figleaves.com have some for around £10.

I'm also a G cup but it in soft cup bras at the moment because I am breastfeeding. The soft cups are so uncomfortable in comparison, and I think I look bigger generally with a soft up bra. Clothes definitely look better with my underwired bras. Bravissimo have a sale at the moment I think.

I only have UW too.

Soft cup=Tigger boobs (ie bounce about)

I seem to recall as a child those huge cross your heart things and the women all looked very nice. That's my only real experience with soft cup bras, hence why I was asking

One makes my boobs look perky and bouyant. The other makes them look like Spaniels noses.

I tried on one of those Doreen bras once out of curiosity (only curiosity mind - I have no intention of wearing anything known as Doreen even it it's fab). I read somewhere they were the most popular bra in the world or something.

It was awful though - gave this awful 1960's pointy/droopy look. No no no - I like nice uw bras. Great shape and everything stays put.

I'm a 32H and was desperate to get out of soft cup maternity/feeding bras into underwired. Non-wired bras make me look enormous with a mono boob, whereas underwires lift and separate and make my boobs look smaller.

Of course I know you are right. What I'm really disillisioned with is having huge norks and feeling like a big boob and not much else. Sigh.

OK you need to check out Miss Mary of Sweden - sounds like a porn star but is actually a great make of lingerie with a few soft bras for big boobs which give loads of support. I hated underwired but felt I had no choice or else my boobs ended up chafing my knees IYKWIM but this bra really works for me and is comfy.
