Afternoon wedding party - is this dress a bit much?

Hi ladies

I'm going to a wedding celebration party in June (the wedding itself was abroad) and will be 28 weeks pg by then.

I rather like this dress from ASOS, but is it a bit too evening-y for an afternoon do? (the do will probably last into the evening I imagine).

If you have any other suggestions I am about a size 12 normally, blonde, big norks, big stomach, good legs and shoulders.

I think it's lovely. It's not too eveningy. It looks like it would be comfy and that'll be a big plus at 28weeks.

I don't think it is - you can dress it down with a cardigan and flat (ish) shoes

Very nice. She looks like she has swallowed a pea though - my stomach looks worse and I'm not pregnant...

I have my suspicious about the ASOS maternity models - they don't look pregnant at all. Even the ones modelling huge maternity pants (which, let's face it are never going to look good on anyone) don't look properly pregnant.

Dress is lovely. would be right for afternoon, and as you say would take you into evening. Silver accessories/shoes would look good with it

I'd say go for it unless you are in any way taller than average or have a larger than average bump in which case your bump might make the front of the dress ride up to an indecent length!

It's lovely though!

Forget the 'afternoon' bit. It's a wedding, you can't overdress. Go for it.

Ordered! Now I just need to find a strapless bra that will keep a massive pair of pregnant norks under control for an afternoon.

Way OTT for an afternoon do

Unless you were planning to put a binliner over it?

Oh fark, just read that you'd already ordered it

It will be lovely really. Positively understated

Have you got a jacket or something to wear with it?

Okay the key is the right hat

at quattrocento.

Well, it may still end up going back - I've never bought from ASOS before so a 12 might not fit (if their pregnancy models are anything to go by it will probably just fit around one leg).
