Need a good pair of jeans from the High Street?

Where would you go for a good pair of jeans in the High Street. I have 1 hour to buy it this afternoon with DS. Where should I look first?
I'm size 14, not toned (working on it) I have a sticky out tummy, fat thighs. Have always experienced a gap at the back even when I was size 10. A little higher on the waist will stop muffin top as well!
Can't wait until I've toned up to look okay.
Can anyone help?

Do you have a Uni Qlo? They get recommended on MN a lot as being cheap and a good fit.

That's what I've got on now! Only the men's jeans fit me in there. Looked at myself in the mirror and I look like an out of shape man! Thank anyway

I've just bought a pair of highwaisted Levi's which have a good fit (on me). I'm a size 13, short legs, wobbly tummy and am chunky of thigh! They fit nicely round the waist too.

Think they are these

MissisBoot I'm still in the market for good pair of jeans, and we have a Levi shop in town so I'll ask. Instead of shopping for jeans I saw a lady pass by with a plastic toboggan. She told me it was only £12.00 so we did a detour to the Toy shop, I then only had half an hour. Popped into Principles and got a pair there which I'm not sure about so they might go back! The toboggan seemed more important

I have just bought some I love from H and M - they have started to do inbetween sizes - a 30 waist has always been too tight and a 32 falls down - but I was thrilled to find a 31 waist in H and M

Okay this is going to need more than 1 hour. I like H&M so I'll try there too! ta!

Have you tried New Look Hula jeans ? They're only £10 - the denim isn't the thickest in the world so I'm not sure how hard wearing they are, but the fit is great - quite high waisted to holds in jelly belly etc. I've got about 6 pairs

Apparantly ASDA are doing in-between size jeans (ie size 11, 13 etc) but I haven't seen them in store yet.

Tillyscoutsmum That shop is just along from H& M so I can fit them in.
TsarChasm No ASDA with clothes around here but thanks anyway.

Oasis - try the Scarlet jeans - mid-rise bootcut, try on the very dark wash. Good luck!

Another vote for the Hula jeans from New Look, great for pear shapes - I always get the gap in the back effect but not with these. I've got them in every colour!

Ok results so far. I bought the M& S jeans because they did fit Yippe! Thank you callalilies but such a cheap look but they were only £12.00.
In the Levi shop she looked at me in horror when she realise it was for me and not my daughter then said Na! Even with the code!
GAP good material but not high-rise enough for me.
H&M had really good info on the label but the back pocket was too big for me ended with various folds on the hip and pocket not good on me but good fit around the tummy shame. IT could fit someone else. Wasted 10 mins in Zara don't know why I walked in! Then I went off the whole idea of shopping for me and tried to buy some rope for the toboggan and chicken & red wine!
Going again tomorrow to look in New look and KEW!

I always like French Connection Jeans, although they aren't cheap. They seem to come up quite high on me.

I'm big of booty, and chunky of thigh, I find Monsoon jeans good. there's a style at the moment with a brown plastic weave-effect belt which works well in bigger sizes

I love NL Hula jeans too! Bit more high-waisted than your average high street jeans, and at a bargain price - I have about 4 pairs too.

NL Hula all the way for me!! great for 'fat days' cos they have go a bit of stretch in them! Wouldn't buy anything else now!
