Are they the puffa type ones?

If so have you tried tumble drying it with a tennis ball in the pocket?
I always machine wash mine (not at 60 though ) and then tumble dry it with a ball which does something with the centre of gravity .
Worth a try!

are you sure it's ruined? I machine washed mine and was horrified when it came out with what looked like no stuffing at all. I put it in the tumble dryer (low setting) and all the feathers dried & fluffed up & it's good as new. If it's already dried you'll prob. have to wash it again and then dry it

It'll take time and patience, but trying massaging and blow drying (with a hair dryer) each baffle (stiched section) seperately. That should bring the down back to life.
I have always had my down jackets dry cleaned for this reason! If you want to machine wash your repacement jacket, then you are best off looking for something with a polyester filling.

But re: down jackets =
If you want the replacement jacket for style, then Marmot do similar jackets (imho nicer). Also Rab. Get them from big outdoor gear shops - Cotswold Outdoor, Field'n'Trek, Go Outdoors etc

If you want it for performance, lightness, warmth, but don't care about trendy lables, then try Alpkit alpkit down.

... and for the environmentally conscious there's Howies, although I have never had one of their down jackets.

howies.

I washed mine a couple of days ago - I didn't tumble dry it but it took ages to dry and as it did its kind of slowly re-inflated. The arms are still a little flat but not that bad (I could tumble dry but I can't be bothered to fiddle around in the garage where the TD is)

i have machine washed it tons of times before, and this has never happened. i have rewashed it and tumbled it low. but all the feathers are bunched up in balls.sob.

I would also recommend the Alpkit Filo jacket - bought one for DH for Christmas. Unfortunately, I think Alpkit is out of stock again.

is the back on the alpkit really long? just worried it may accenuate bum! am liking the chilli one. that is my only complaint about north face...the colours are crap. who wants a WHITE down jacket?????

linked to this on another thread yesterday - its more waterproof than nuptse (to DH's disgust) and women's version is nicely fitted
