Boots for fat legs - but nice, leather, ones - any recommendations?

DH says he will buy me new work boots. They need to be smart, black, with heels (but not too high or I'll fall over), and knee high.

but my legs are too fat [waaaah] - meaning I can't quite zip up 90% of the boots I try on - and I end up getting very depressed and grumping at DH when he was only trying to be nice. They are not a million miles off, but there's not much point in boots you can't do up.

Help (pretty please) - where do I go?

Hobbs, Hobbs, Hobbs.

Their elastic sided boots are the answer. They look great, are very comfortable and adjust to various leg widths. The style is emily. See here

I don't understand the Clarks sizing - which is extra wide - D ?

Thank you - I love you all (sorry - did I mention how emotional I get over boots ?)

I am a bit lot with myself, though - when DH was standing there going 'it's OK, we can try another shop if you want, why not?' (very out of character) and I grumped and insisted on giving up and going home, we were about 10yds from the Clarks shop .

Duo boots, everytime.

I am still trying to convince my mum to give me hers as they fit me perfectly and she has only worn them twice.....

DH said yes to DuoBoots

Measuring and ordering is on tomorrow's list, I think...

Thanks again, everyone.

laurie, d width is slightly wider then normal. average width is c, i think clarks do an e as their widest fit, but only on very few styles

God yes. There is only Duo. They are brilliant. They have them in specific sizes. I have two pairs for my rugby players legs.
