What hairstyle should I have or aim to have my fine hair in?

IWhat about a fringe?

ComeOVeneer · 16/12/2008 10:05

I think a thick longish fringe swept to the side and keep the bob.

Flier - you remind me of somebody but can't think for the life of me who it is??

I think you have lovely hair (that I'd kill for) but I might be tempted to cut a fringe in because you have quite a high forehead but your face is very elfin-like.

What ideas have you had yourself?

I think a fringe would suit you.

fringe was my first thought too

do you straighten your hair or is it naturally like that?

Thanks everyone.
I actually got a tiny side fringe cut in last time I got my hair cut, but didn't want to get too much of one cut in as have been growing it our for so long.
So, getting a "proper" fringe cut in would sort of disguise the high forehead?

I straighten my hair, but it is generally pretty straight (and lifeless!)

this is nice but wold need some product if your hair is dead straight

I like to be able to sort of "funk" my hair up but I got too many hairdressers "cutting in" to my hair which was not good for my flat hair.

I sympathise with ther fringe thing, am in the process of growing mine out. Noadvice but just wanted to sympathise!

I think so. Put your finger across your forehead on the middle photograph and you can sort of see what a fringe would do to your face.

Anyone got any tips for a head full of thick frizz with a life of it's own and a tendency to fight back?

ggirlsbells, that is a gorgeous style, but not sure I could carry it off. would love to be able to, cos its got a nice bit of oomph to it.

I think it looks great! A long layered choppy fringe perhaps?

Report
ggirlsbells · 16/12/2008 10:12

this would suit you

I think it looks nicest in the econd pic, so I would agree with those who say a side swept fringe...which won't be what you want to hear if you are growing one out, sorry .

Actually, I had a cut this year which I loved. I kept the front similar to how yours is now and the back was a lot shorter. Was really easy to do as I dried and straightened the front and then used glue in the back to give it a messed up spikey kinda look. Trendy and easy. No pics though...

ggirlsbells, I do like that, but would I suit it as short as that do you think?, or keep as long as is and get that fringe?

I don't really mind getting a fringe cut in, as long as it looks good.

you could still keep the length

thanks everyone.

Decision made (sort of!) - will take ggirlsbells first photo in to show the stylist what I would like to have (ie funky style) but will speak to her about the side swept fringe similiar to the 2nd style that was linked.

Ooh - the second one will look lovely on you - your hair looks like it might be to fine for the first one unless you use loads of product. Depends how much time you have every day to style it.

You are so lucky to have sleek shiny hair! Gorgeous colour too. If I had hair like yours I'd have a finge - long and blunt like Lily Allen's. I covet sleek fringes. (like this)
