I've seen lovely shrug and dress outfits things in the supermarket shops and Marks and Spencer is good too. Then ofcourse there's Monsoon which has pretty dresses. Probably lots around in Next and Boots, Hennes too, but you can get some great ones in TKMAXX too.

This is my favourite right now: velvet dress with hearts - warm and cosy and way funkier than a cardi in my opinion They have matching pink and red tights too.

here

they also had some fluffy sort of shrug that was the green colour in the dress.

ohh cute,
what about this songbird shrug dress

PearTree, my main problem with that is that it's so obviously Monsoon kwim? For a special outfit I think it's nice to be a bit different.

If you like a more classic look, have a look here

my dd (5) has this with the matching shrug..it is really lovely and machine washable which alot of monsoon stuff isnt so great for young ones

Meant to say: those Nectarina dresses are expensive, not sure if you had that much in mind - but I think the one at the bottom is beautiful (Penelope) and it's on special offer

Songbird, are there no designer boutiques doing sales near you?

DD2 has this, it is gorgeous plus it can be used more of a day dress than some of the Monsoon type dresses once Christmas is over. They have a cardigan to match as well. Your DD would need age 2 in the designer outfits as they run small.

I wanted this for DD2 as well but they didn't have her size. I bought a few Catimini bits in the sale from a shop near me, I love it as it washes so well, better than Monsoon to be honest.

First Monsoon one too old for a toddler imo, second one nicer. Is there a Monsoon near you? I am going to pop into Liverpool and see if SIL has any discount left so I can get DD2 a couple of dresses.
