Ok I am preparing for a possible interview for University to do a midwifery degree, competition is very fierce so i need to look right.
I have also applied for a job as a bf peer supporter at the local childrens centre.
Since niether of these are business suit type jobs I was thinking trousers or skirt, one of those blouse with tank top attached things and nice flats shoes.
someth9ng like the greeny top the brown trousers
and the red shoes at the top
what do you think, is it smart enough?

Good idea to wear trousers rather than skirt (Looks more practical).

Love those clothes, I would probably wear shoes/boots with a heel with the trousers and maybe go for a smarter top (crisp white shirt) as the trousers are quite casual. Or That top with a more formal trouser (and maybe a jacket). I think interviewers expect you to dress quite formally.

I think your original top and original trousers (the ones on the left, right?) would be fine, but I'd team them with a boot with a heel rather than with those shoes.

yeh, the trousers on theleft, I actuially really like the waistcoat as well although we are getting a bit expensive then.

Maybe just a leeeeeetle heel? Something around 1-1.5 inch is supposed to be more comfortable than flats for wearing all day, IIRC. Not sure where to get them from, though...

I think it's a good choice and think the flat shoes are sensible (and very cute): you will look smart and professional but also practical minded! Good luck.

Sorry thesock - I had to get back to work and no time last night.

I think the grey trousers are perfect. I agree the trouser and waistcoat ensemble was very smart but may feel odd (if you are not used to wearing a waistcoat). If you are doing a bit of a tour then I agree flats would be best if you aren't used to walking in heels (a sprained ankle would not be a good impression LOL). The red ballet pumps would look great with the grey trousers.

Good luck from me too.
