Alternatives to Boden and Joules.....?

Am 36+5 and really looking forward to wearing different clothes! I know I won't get my shape and size back straight away, but I can dream.... at least the Autumn Winter collections may be within my reach by Christmas sales.....

Anyway, I used to get a lot osf stuff from Boden, but liek a lot of people have said, their quality and sizing is a biot suspect. I sometimes quite like Joules, but have also found their quality a bit flimsy and their stuff can be a bit "fun" for me.

So, you'll have guessed that I like "posh casual wear". Boden is really the toppermost end of my budget. Don't really like Hobbs - a bit too smart, and a bit too pricey, although have bought the odd formal thing from them in sales.

Are there any good quality alternatives to Boden and Joules? I remember Racing Green with fondness....

How about Wrap? I don't really like Boden much though so perhaps I'm not the best to give advice.

Poetry have the same parent company as Wrap so fairly similar stuff.

Both of them have pretty good sales.

Crikey- someone else who knows Racing Green- where did they go? Their shop in Regent Street hung around after the mail order closed but is no longer there. IMO they were "replaced" by Boden!

I buy a bit of Boden but can't stand the "obviously Boden" stuff.

I mainly shop at Kew, Jigsaw, White Stuff, tiny bit from Monsoon,( plain stuff not garish brights).

Don't like Fat Face- too shapeless and casual, and trousers have loooooooooow rises for me!

Toast is nice. Whistles is good. Jigsaw OK.
New Ghost stuff nice for A/W.

I also like Temperley, Anna Sui, Milly and DVF - when I am feeling flush

Don't forget Top Shop for some basics.

M&S Limited collection is worth a look too.

Mix stuff up - develop your own style. I am not slating Boden/Joules etc - but too many people (IMO) look the same these days.
