So sorry to call on you out-of-the-blue but as the oracle of all things Parisian I was wondering if I might ask you a question please?

Every so often at Christmas an elderly friend of my family has bought me a fine ribbed v-necked cardigan from Paris. The brand is called 'Soie Pour Soi'. They are beautifully cut, pure silk (warm in winter and cold in summer) and being finely ribbed, the opposite of bulky ...

This friend recently moved down south and I've worn my cardigans so much they are now falling apart. I have the opportunity for a very fast (1hr 40 mins shopping spree in Paris - in the 16th - next week). I've searched the Internet but can't find any information about the brand.

I just wondered therefore if you had heard of the brand or if you have any idea as to where I might start my search?

Merci beaucoup

Hello

Hmm.. . I've never heard of the brand and, like you say, google doesn't help much.

You could try a department store - Galeries Lafayette or Printemps on the Boulevard Haussmann would be your best bet.

Hi Anna - sorry to take so long to respond and thanks for your input and advice - it was worth a shot!

Perhaps they are no longer being made - I received the last one about 3 yrs ago - but those are good places to start (and a trip to Galerie Lafayette is always a pleasure!!)
