More Boden queries and a little moan

Just checked the US site and saw that lots of stock that was "out of stock" in the UK is IN stock there- so, had a quick peep at Boden.co.uk andl o and behold, stock levels are identical.

Why are some items now back in stock, 4 days before the SALE? Do they keep stock back, saying it is "Out of stock" only to try to tempt us by putting it back on the site 4 DAYS BEFORE THE SALE STARTS- in the hope we will rush and buy it full price?

Makes you wonder if the stock levels shown on the site are genuine- or just another marketing ploy!!!!

I have noticed this before with Boden sales- items that are popular go "out of stock" then when the sale appears, or just before, they magically come back into stock. Hmmmmmm.

If you're worried about missing out on something with low stock, order it now (use free postage offer from mumsnet or nothingtodo.com) then it will come this week before sale starts. If it's reduced in the sale you can request the difference to be refunded - if not, you can hang onto it and see if it's reduced in the further reductions, or just return it.

Is this really true that they give you back the difference if it is lower in sale?

I can't believe that-it sounds too good to be true M&S only refund the sale price, even if you paid full price for it, if you return it after the sale has started.

I don't want to buy anything yet- I am just curious as to why things that were sold out suddenly appear in stock just before the sale- it does look like a marketing ploy to get you to buy at full price.

Def a marketing ploy. I think they only credit money back to your boden account dont they, so you have to spend it on more boden.
