TrinnyandSussannah Trinny and Susannah are back but this time the Godmothers of Makeover are making satire look stylish. Below is the first episode of their mockumentary, Trinny & Susannah: What They Did Next. Episode Two will be showing here next week. TrinnyandSussannah

Recipe of the week

smithy's roasted beetroot: low-fat, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free and generally nutritious and virtuous. This one-dish wonder is delicious and uses up some seasonal beets. What's not to like?

Which is worse - vomity hair or a pony tail day in day out?

My 5-week-old son has decreed I must have one or the other.

Need you ask?! PONY TAIL!
MrsBadger Thu 05-Jun-08 12:02:13
ooh tough one

I went for the worst of both worlds for a long time (loose hair vomited in then tied up)
BroccoliSpears Thu 05-Jun-08 12:08:01
Yes! That's my current choice Mrs B. I look and smell fantastic.

Ooooh deffo tie it up, it has other advantages, no one can pull it out, including the roots, if it is tied up, and when you haven't had chance to wash it for 2 weeks days, and it starts getting itchy, it won't itch as much tied up
SheherazadetheGoat Thu 05-Jun-08 12:12:14
cut it off
Get used to a pony tail now, before he starts grabbing at it unexpectedly. Also give up on dangly earrings, necklaces, scarves.... some very painful memories there grin

ponytail for def. then you still have lovely long locks for those rare nights out
Hova Thu 05-Jun-08 13:38:59
do NOT cut it off.

argh. nothing worse than a 'sensible' hair cut.

think of the vom as a fantastically expensive hair mask from harrods - made from regurgitated lactic acid-enzyme-complexes. dahling.

Another vote for a ponytail here. Definitely don't cut it off - short hair needs washing more often, long hair can just be tied back wink

DS (8wks) holds onto my hair while feeding if it's loose so I've had ponytail/bun for most of the last two months. Hey ho...
SheherazadetheGoat Thu 05-Jun-08 17:52:15
there is something worse than 'sensible' hair - hair in a ponytail.

anyway once you have kids you are too haggard to carry off long hair.
BroccoliSpears Thu 05-Jun-08 18:44:02
<wonders if she can carry off bunches>
bigspender30 Thu 05-Jun-08 19:43:08
I disagree- I think ponytails are fine-or hair pinned up. Short sensible hair-old ladyish and helmet head spring to mind!
Oy! No negative comments about pony-tails missy!

Today I have gone for a sort of deliberately scruffy bun sort of thing. It would probably be more effective if I was working with tumbling pre-raphelite locks, but I'm afraid I'm stuck with thin, fine, straight, (crispy, crunchy, whiffy) hair.

I wipe food/other stuff out of mine and my kids hair with babywipes

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page."
