How is your decolletage? And what do you do if it's less than lovely especially if you're over 40?

When I was 30 I worked with a woman (who I thought at the time was ancient, she was 42!) with a wrinkly decolletage and remember thinking at the time 'my word, I won't be showing my chest area off like that when I'm her age if it looks like that' . Sadly that day is here and my cleavage has downward wrinkles due to old age, fat, sun damage and gravity. And I am NOT talking wearing low necklines here at all, I wear just normal v neck type necklines, but it looks awful.

Is there anything I can do about it? Can one have Botox on one's cleavage? Should I? Has anyone? Or shall I just keep hunting for tops with the highest possible necks? I don't feel the sight of my chest should be inflicted on anyone tbh and I am growing increasingly anxious about it.

Thanks for any advice.

Mine's crepey (sic) - and I'm only 32. Too many years spent dinghy sailing in the sun with not enough SPF on.'

Will watch this thraed closely to revelation of miracle cure.

Very good question. I'm the wrong side of 40 and seeing the first hints of crepey (sp?) and age spots and it is getting to me too.

Can't wear polo necks though - Trinny and Susannah don't recommend those for women with a fair bit of bosom and they are right, they don't look good on me anyway.

Big jewellery is good and lots and lots of cream although which one is the miracle in a pot I don't know!

Don't sleep on your side. Makes everything concertina up like an accordion, and you'll never get the creases out.

Never too late to get the spf out - put it on religiously even on dull days. There's nothing worse than crepey and pink through sun exposure.

sellotape applied from the affected area to under your armpits, works every time until of course the menopausal sweats kick in and then it loses its grip, and pings back to ravine status !

The type of bra you wear has an effect. You need one that lifts and separates. Absolutely no squeezing together.

teehee yes perhaps not entirely clear. there is a product called bottom butter which is sold at waitrose. some posters have been suggesting it is great for the face. i have been putting it on my upper chest area.
