What does it mean when your bra doesnt sit comfortably under your boobs?

I was watching How to look good naked and Gok was saying about how to get your bra fitted properly and then got distracted and missed it. So anyway, the in between bit of my bra does not sit comfortably under my boobs does this mean the back size is too big/small or the cup size is too big/small?

It means that the back size is too big and the cup size is too small or that it has stretched from too many washes.

Yes, just go and get one fitted. House of Fraser or john Lewis are the best. M and S not great imo.

Most of my bras are ugly
My nice bras do not fit anymore.

Well the strange thing is that some of them feel tight and restrictive round my ribs so I was going to go up a back size.

I know this sounds silly but I'm very prudish (I even get dressed discreetly in gym changing rooms) and I would feel very uncomfortable being measured.

It depends what you mean by uncomfortable - is it digging in, or rubbing up or down?

It could be a combination of cup size and back size.

Its neither digging in or rubbing up and down but there is a gap between the underneath and the bra iyswim.

So the bra doesn't touch your chest at the front, under your breasts?

Back size or cup size too small, poss both. Measure yourself with and without a bra on. Bear in mind over time bras can get looser around the back, and cup size may shrink or get bigger in the wash too. You can't count on what size fits you in an old bra.
