Maternity wear question - where to buy a lightweight coat?

I'm on my second pregnancy and the issue of outerwear didn't really arise last time as I was pregnant in London during the height of the heatwave in 2006.

This time, however, I'm coming up on four months along and beginning to show quite a bit and it's the middle of a Scottish winter. I've searched and searched online for a trench coat/mac maternity equivalent and I can't find anyting. There are a few wool coats hanging around in sales but they'll be too warm in a couple of months. I don't drive and I live two miles away from town so I walk everywhere with my son in his puschair. Given how wet it is up here (and how wet it is likely to be all through spring and quite possibly summer) I really need a lighweight showerproof knee-length coat that will cover the bump.

I've tried Crave, Formes, JoJo, Blooming Marvellous, Next, H&M, Debenhams, Isabella Oliver, HomeMummy, M&S and Mamas & Papas and all I can find is silky parka style things (ugh! and definitely not practical). Why does no one seem to make jackets (other than smart work jackets) for pregnant women?

Does anyone have any suggestions (budget isn't a problem)?

La Redoute's maternity range? Don't know if it stretches to coats but worth a try.

I had a look, but no joy. You'd think someone would realise that in the UK we do get wet weather fairly frequently, wouldn't you? Or are pregnant women supposed to stay indoors when it rains?

Top shop? have a great maternity selection? plus you can look on line right now! I found a nice jacket/coat from Pri Mark, given they are not made for pregnancy but i kept the few bottom buttons undone!

Thanks for the Top Shop tip. I had a look and their stuff is simply not my style but they did have quite a good selection.

As for Primark, sorry, but I wouldn't shop there. I bought a pair of pyjamas from there and they practically disintegrated in the first wash (I know, I know, what do I expect for such cheap prices) and I had quite a fight to get a refund because they had been "worn". I think I'd rather pay more for clothes that are better-made and higher quality.

To be honest, I pinning my hopes on the new IO Spring/Summer range. If they do a lightweight version of their Grace coat (which I would have bought were I pregnant through the winter), I'll be snapping that up.
