I love the colour of Carries hair but the only people I have ever seen with it have horrid hair, full of split ends and all faded etc, is that a warning not to get it done or should I?

Oh no it can be done, but you must look after it really well, all that deep conditioning stuff and keeping the ends trimmed etc. Go for it, you'll love it

I think it's lovely but only with the right skin tone. If you're very pale and interesting, I don't think it's a good look.

I think the colour in the pic is a lot tamer than it often looks. How about trying a really deep red/brown off the shelf to start with?

I loved having red hair, but it fades really quickly.

lol. Great minds.

To answer the question, I think it looks fab if it's done regularly but sluttish if left to fade.;

It's very popular in Easter Europe for some reason. And not in a good way. Always people who doesn't really suit it.

To keep the colour vibid, easiest thing to do is use one of those colour sachets every other week as a top up I find (I like mine really, really bright)

Looks better if I have a slight tan of the fake variety (but I have my Mum's complexion and she is naturally auburn haired)

I think it looks great if you want to be perceived as a bit wacky and bohemian. Not that there's anything wrong with wcaky and bohemian...

actually i do know of one woman with this sort ofhair colour and she has perfect skin so she looks lovely she does have to keep up appearance by always dressin gin a 'kooky' fashion which must be a drag if you just want to pop to the shops and you have dig out your felt skirt and knee high socks.

I never leave the house without fll make-up anyway, so that wouldn't be a problem and I'm quite lucky with my complexion, I've gone from blone to black and both looked alright (darker looked better though).
I'm just worried I'll do it and really regret it, I've only just grown out the crap from my last million times of dying it.

There is a woman in my village who dyes her hair this colour, pity she keeps missing big chunks of her hair.

Quote from my dd:-

"If you dye your hair like Mark's mum, then I am not walking along the road to school with you"

my hair is currently quite similar, i used semi permanent nicky clarke stuff called chilli. i think my hair is a bit lighter than yours though, is mid brown about 20% grey. and it is curly. i do not wear felt skirts.

Oh and it will fade hideously, literally from the first time you wash it.
