Stomachs - would you have a tummy tuck ?

Odd question I know but after 12 months with a personal trainer everything else is looking damn fine (even if I say so myself lol).
But i still have this lovely little shelf of a stomach.
Has anyone had one and how much difference did it make.
And if nobody has had it done has anyone else considered it or am I just mad ???

I'm not sure what my Mum had done but after 4 sections in the 1970's she was left with one hellava scar a I suppose a 'shelf'. Like you she had worked hard and looked great. We couldn't understand why she wanted a tummy tuck as she looked so thin and lovely.

Anyway, I remembered walking in to speak to her when she was in the bath (post op) and seeing her new scar (lower down). It gave me a real fright but actually it healed quickly and made her really happy.

Go for it if you can afford it and it will make you feel better. IMO, it will look great in clothes, but not so much nekkid or in bikini as scar runs vertically.

Not me, but a friend of mine. She was really happy and keeps telling other Mums that they should have one too . Not sure where she thinks everyone else will get the money!
For what it's worth, it's a major operation, and has one of the longest recovery times for cosmetic surgery. She had to rely on GPs moving in to take care of her DC for 2 weeks (was in no fit state, and they weren't babies too), and it took longer again to be back to normal.

More major surgery? No way! A c-section was enough! I do know a woman that had one, and it has given her a flatter stomach which looks better in clothes - but naked it looks weird (stretched is how I would describe it, and if you have stretchmarks already, they look bloody weird) and the scar is enormous compared to a c-section one - a real 'operation' scar. I couldn't put myself through the recovery time, either.

i just wish they'd done a wee tummy tuck when i had my 3rd section - nothing major, just a wee tweak a la beckham to get rid of the ledge!!
