advice on jeans to wear under boots?

hello, i'd like to try the skinny (ish!) jeans under long (ish!) boots look. yes, i know, i'm a few years late with it, but i still see a lot of people wearing this and they look great.
my question is, what jeans to go for? can anyone recommend a brand and cut that is both stylish AND comfortable and works under boots?
I am a new mum and slowly losing weight. I am currently 9 and a half stone and need to lose another three quarters of a stone to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. I was going to wait till I got my old shape back before buying anything, but it's taking far too long! I'd like a nice staple outfit like this to tide me over. Is it worth buying very expensive jeans? I want something comfortable. Any tips from people who have mastered this sexy look?

Not sure about stylish, but the cheap New Look jeans that cost, like £18ish are skinny enough to go under boots! Might tide you over until you can decide for definite!

They are cut nicely, (but I woudn't wear them without boots over - but then I am not that skinny enough to wear skinny jeans build!)

I've just worn boots over skinny jeans last week for the first time, so I'm a bit behind fashion-wise too! I bought some skinny jeans from gap, they cost £38. They are a very good fit (a bit of stretch) and I like the colour: a very dark indigo. I'm going to try the New loo ones today actually, a colleague from work has some and they look really nice (only under boots!). I'll let you know how it goes.

I bought some straight leg jeans from Asda for about £14 I think.

They look like skinny jeans on me ( I'm not THAT massive either.....!)but I can either tuck them into boots or roll them up over knee high boots IYSWIM

I love Asda jeans -they're cheap and they fit really well

mine were from asda too. they were £12 and a dark blue. i am a size 20, but sod the 'rules' about what people are ment to wear for their shape. i love them and love my boots!!if you like something, and dont look too hideous (!!) wear it

Hand M ones are good, I'd tried loads on, got v depressed at sight of me in them (and am not particularly big), then tried on Hand M ones and they really suck you in, particularly your bum (my, ahem, problem area)!
