Says it all really!
I have no idea what to wear. Am thinking will go shopping tomorrow but only have 2 hours so need to do research before, which is where MN comes in!
I am size 10, large norks, hourglass type figure, but not very clothes confident. Will probably need to buy whole outfit because wardrobe consists of SAHM uniform
Like dresses, skirts, trousers, not fussy.....

Depends - it is large Christening in a famous church with royalty attending or is it small country affair and back for tea and cake in the front room?

just a nice skirt witha shirt will be fine.
I'd be more worried about what you're promising to do tbh - spiritual guidance for the rest of their lives, looking after them if anything happens to the parents etc

Its quite a big church but not terribly formal. Meal in country pub after.
I feel happy with the religious side of things and I know if I turned up in a bin bag I'd be just as welcome but would like to make an effort and feel good.

I was at a christening 2 weeks ago which was church followed by pub function room.
A lot of people were just in nice smart trousers and top, nothing over the top or too fancy.
I wore black trousers, heels and a tunic type top and fitted in quite well.
Do you have a h&m near you, they had some nice stuff in when i was looking which isnt too expensive??

Yes I like that. the only thing is I keep trying on wrap dresses and they gape so I find it hard to trust them when they say they don't IYSWIM!
No-one is free to go shopping this week and dh is useless
Like the idea of ballet style cardi...

Wear a vest top under your wrap.

I guess that would work, although am always worried it makes my top half look bulky IYSWIM.
