Make DS beau of the ball!

hello lovely helpful style experts.
Myself, DH and DS are off to a wedding end August in Ireland. Naturally I sorted out my own outfit ages ago, but I want my DS (pfb can you tell ) to look special, he will be 3 1/2 months.
Where can I buy him something? Needs to be online as will struggle to get to decent shops in next few weeks.

La Redoute also have this sort of thing - how about a shirt and long shorts (though I tend towards stretchy things for the real little babies). If you do a search on the A l'heure Anglaise range, they've got a few things. Monsoon also worth a look.

I tend to use Monsoon for smart clothes for ds, linen shirts and trousers/shorts. But at 3.5 months? What sort of thing are you after?

ooh JackieNo like the La Redoute thing, although see shirt is w/c 15/10. Like the shorts though.

We did look in Monsoon but only weeny weeny boys section in ones near us (huge girls section ), and nothing really.

Think braces at his age might be a step too far!

meandmyflyingmachine not really sure what I'm after tbh [unhelpful emoticon], had got as far as thinking I want something a bit smarter and bit more special than normal clothes iyswim, keep going in shops and seeing lots of lovely pretty special little girls clothes but very limited for boys .

Not sure about jersey bodysuit, there is some nice stuff on there though

he's 3 months old. tbh i would just stick him ina babygrow. all these fancy outfits will just get crumpled and uncomfy and will be awkward for changes and he'll probably puke on the ayway. why not just a babygrow and a cute hat?

well, whatever you do, defintely go for an all-in-one rather than a top and shorts - you'll be handing him round to be cooed over by all and sundry and a shirt-type top will end up screwed up under his armpits with his tummy hanging out - not very 'beau of the ball'-lke

hmm, swym about screwed up under the arms scenario. I do like nice rompers, might go for something along those lines.

He's not a sicky baby at all, has only puked once so I don't mind getting something a bit special.

if you're planning one, buy posh rompers that are a bit too big and rceycle them as his christening outfit?

ooh that's a good idea. We're not having a christening, not particularly religious, but thinking about some kind of naming do/celebratory bash instead.

(once you have more than one you will want things as easy as possible, which means babygrows day and night till 6mo)

I loved them, and you can get such nice ones..

I did also put DD in the trousers type ones (same material as babygrows which were fab...
