I think they are both lovely. When I was buying mine, I tried on loads in all different styles - you'll be surprised what suits you might be the opposite to what you think you want...

claiemow is right when I was looking for my wedding dress I had a photo of one from a magazine and tried to find one like it. When I tried the most similar one I could find i looked so awful!!! ended up buying the complete opposite!!

mine had a drapey skirt like that but with a halter neck and a net back.

It was gorgeous. I like the second one better i think.

I agree with prawnsmum, I was exactly the same. Loved a dress that had long draped sleeves (wanted to cover my arms up) a bit like a medieval style. Couldn't find anything close, tried on a strapless gown with big skirt and it was love at first sight :D

Just go out and have fun, try on as many as you can physically stand, you'll hopefully only do it once ;)

it is lovely ,but I do think all wedding dresses these days look the same ,they are ALL strapless!
Be different go for one with straps or sleeves!

Go and find out how much it would cost to have what you wanted made.

I had mine made for me and got married knowing it was a one of a kind, made to fit me perfect;y and was the exact thing I had wanted no compromise needed (although I would have prefered it several sizes smaller but I would have had to stop eating lots of chocolate to do that)!!

cod wouldn't I look salami armed ;)

I am going looking on Tuesday I think so will try on smething similar.

I have tried on some already and I know I suit the a-line shaped ones, but I want to try some different styles on.

Have you looked at maggie sottero range? Just asking because a friend of mine fell in love with an alan hannah dress just like that 2yrs ago and found something very, very similar in her range for less than half the price. (I was bridesmaid so went through the whole thing as well )
Worth a look. Good luck.

Oh and I agree about trying on everything. My dress was nothing like the idea in my head. I only picked it up to make sure I had a few to take into the changing room.
