At my brother's wedding. They have kindly said I can go and pick her (and baby sister) a dress and they will pay for it. The theme is green. I don't want a formal style (e.g. like christening or bridemaids dress). I would like something quite 'old' fashioned/floral/smocked? Like little girls used to wear?
Anybody seen anything out there.
I have a pic on my profile page of DD1 at a wedding last year in the same kind of thing I'm looking for (but in green).
Thanks in advance.

How old are they? The first place that springs to mind is Rachel Riley but they haven't got their summer stuff in yet.
Otherwise maybe try
The Children's Salon ,
French places like Tartine et Chocolat ,
Pelirocco or
La Reduote ,
somewhere specialising in smocekd dresses
or even Next .

John Lewis sometimes have traditional smocked dresses in the summer. My DDs had them 2 years ago.

thanks - these are great. eldest will be 23 months (size wise she's 2-3 now so no real problems there) baby will be 10 months but I'm not as worried about her dress - that ones just a bonus!!
Tartine et chocolat is gorgeous - added to my favourites. I'll check Rachel Riley out periodically to see if summer stuff is in - judging by the winter collection they may well be useful. Thanks.

can't call up any pictures on that Tartine et chocolat link. How did you manage to do that?

I tried googling them too but didn't come up with any pictures of the clothing.
