Thanks for the new thread and all the lovely messages. We are at the V&A and have been at "You say you want a revolution" exhibition which I have really enjoyed and recommend highly. Towards the end I felt quite choked... just lounging in the Woodstock room. Can't quite get my thoughts together but I think it's about how in reality we have no freedom now, in spite of all the technology, everyone having their say somewhere or other, everyone alleging that they can be who they are (and if they don't know who that is, then inventing it...) ...Dunno
Anyway, eating a delicious lunch and then off to buy me a watch. DH is trying. That's all I ever wanted. Some effort. Some forethought. The money is pretty irrelevant although it helps So Crepeys I would say it's worth keeping up the pressure and kicking off if they don't show caring on special days. After all when we just smile stoically and pretend to be happy for the greater good, no one really benefits in the long run.
For the record today I have also received scatter cushions from the DC, a JL voucher from DM, a cheque from DPILs, a reed diffuser from DDis and a silver vintage Lobby phone also from DH which I was eyeing up in JL some weeks ago.
And he and DD have made a cottage pie in advance for tonight so I don't have to cook.
Keep up the pressure, y'all hear? Don't be invisible!

S London crepesters, have any of you got rid of a car (legally, responsibly, environmentally etc), probably for scrap? Ours is so old the sites where you put in its reg number don't work, we probably won't replace it at least straight away, and I am not minded to trust the places round here automatically. I've just emailed one of the charities that claim to do this.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying Seahouses, Addle. I am so glad that the weather has improved today as it was pretty grim over the weekend. We went to Blyth on Sunday morning for a brief walk and there were actually people surfing, including one hardy soul who was only wearing a swimsuit. Brrr.

I have at least joined Planet People today as I have dropped down the tablets somewhat. I still have no appetite so food consumption is low (not a bad thing considering how my weight has ballooned over the last year).
