...what would it be, and why?

I'd go on holiday

sonlypuppyfat · 21/01/2017 20:35

I'd buy new carpets and a haven holiday Grin

KatherinaMinola · 21/01/2017 20:39

...I would think seriously about what I could usefully do with my disposable income..

talkingtoclarry · 21/01/2017 20:44

personally I'd go down the preloved route, get two for the price of one! But then I'm tight and am incapable of really looking after expensive stuff.

But looking forward to the inevitable swarm of people saying they'd buy a shitty bit of plastic from Primarni and how could you even dream of spending more than a tenner on a bag....

bigkidsdidit · 21/01/2017 20:46

I would get a very lovely briefcase for work

SloanePeterson · 21/01/2017 20:47

I'd buy a bench Wink but seriously, a Chloe Marcie hobo. God I lust after that bag. If you have the money then you spend it on what you damn well like, don't listen to the naysayers

BarbaraofSeville · 21/01/2017 20:49

I got a lovely laptop briefcase thing for £40 and I'd spend the rest on a holiday like most others on this thread.

mowglik · 21/01/2017 20:49

If it was a little more, I'd get another Chanel wallet on a chain. I hate lugging loads of crap around and this forces me to streamline what I carry - also looks great worn casually or for a night out

Allthebestnamesareused · 21/01/2017 20:50

Mulberry - have 2 but always room for another. Not sure what style but I have black and taupe so my next will be oxblood.

JustHereForThePooStories · 21/01/2017 20:51

The Marcie Hobo is gorgeous. I love the Mulberry Bayswater but have heard the quality of Mulberry has dropped lately. Stunning bag though.

Not worried about the naysayers at all Wink

Any of these, second hand

A Chanel

A couple of mulberrys

Or a mulberry and a Balenciaga

Oh to have this dilemma 😩😩

Then maybe you should have a look at the holiday board, where people discuss holidays, and not the style and beauty board where people often discuss bags?

A Chloe paraty. Are you looking for work, weekends, evenings out?

bigkidsdidit · 21/01/2017 20:55

Last year I was spending £1600 a month on childcare. I promised myself that when my youngest went to school I would spend one month's childcare on a bag before I start saving. A year in September...

Actually I might bump it up to two months and get a Chanel Blush

trying29 · 21/01/2017 20:56

Bottega Veneta -that'd be my dream

AlfaMummy · 21/01/2017 20:56

Mulberry Camden. Perfect size for what I need to carry, slightly edgy but not too much, made well enough to last 10 years with the right care.

beeny · 21/01/2017 20:57

You deserve Chanel !

titsbumfannythelot · 21/01/2017 20:58

I like the mulberry range in oxblood.

Ideally I'd love a Chanel shoulder bag but it's going to be a while before I can get one of those x

Newbrummie · 21/01/2017 21:00

I was paying £1600 a month in childcare at one point and the same again in rent. When it stopped I bought ..... an M&S sandwich

Dailymaildailyfail · 21/01/2017 21:00

I wouldn't spend £1300 on a Mulbs. I'd go for a classic black Prada Saffiano OR I'd do a Chloe Faye- it's literally a dream bag. There are so many beautiful bags for that budget, I'd be like a kid in a candy store!

girlelephant · 21/01/2017 21:01

Mulberry Smile

IvorHughJarrs · 21/01/2017 21:01

I have a Mulberry Alexa which I love and use everyday so would say a Mulberry. People have been claiming the quality has dropped for years but they are still good, solid workhorses of bags and I cannot see that my newer ones are inferior to my oldest

If go on Etsy and buy an enormous natural leather tote bag - timeless and bloody useful!

Then I'd bank the rest or pay some bills.

bigkidsdidit · 21/01/2017 21:12

I'll put an m and s sandwich in my bag, Brummie Smile

Pistachiois50pmore · 21/01/2017 21:16

I'd get a Sandqvist Hege for £200 or an APC Half Moon for £300 and spend the rest on actual good clothes.

Oh wait just remembered the Acne Musubi. I do like that. Hmm.
