Pretty much would like to own all outfits Mia wears in the movie.

I know it's a bit retro and a bit twee, but that is exactly my cup of tea: a bit retro without it looking anything like fancy dress

I have a few people tree dresses that are in this style, any ideas for other shops?

Love the film, love the wardrobe...

anyone else?

I know what you mean! Loved the movie, loved the clothes. Watch Mad Men if you can :) I would kill for those dresses.

Take a look at Joanie joanieclothing.com I think they are more wearable than some of the more full on vintage looks.

There was an article in last weekend's Saturday times (may have been Friday's) - sorry no links, which detailed where the stylists bought Mia's clothes. One outfit was H&M. The entire budget for the film was very low and do remember the technique meant that some colour was applied after shooting. The iconic yellow dress actually supposed to be a rehearsal dress but Emma stone loved it so much they kept it for the film. I think the article said that the flowers were hand painted on. As with all film work, I am sure that even high st stuff was tailored to fit in a certain way.

I loved the film and came out singing Grin

this article says all the clothes for Mia and the Gosling character were specially made, although they wanted the outfits to look ¨like real dresses¨ that non-super-wealthy people might wear, in keeping with those parts of the plot.
