Tights or no tights, that is the question...

Hi ladies

I have a big night coming up this time next week. Have dress sorted, knee length off the shoulder ruched Boden number, which is quite snug. Necklace sorted. Now worrying about footwear as a quick trip into town during the week indicated that stiletto evening shoes and I are not a match made in heaven; mega uncomfortable & dancing might be tricky!

I'd be much more comfortable in a pair of wedge sandals (or silvery Xmas sandals?) but as it will be mid December by then, is that just ridiculous thinking. My legs are ok, and not pearly white (olive skinned).

The event itself is inside, so I'd only have a short stagger for taxi afterwards.

What do you think? Would that be a terrible faux pas? Or should I bite the bullet & go for tights and closed toe shoes.

Ta v much in advance.

I'd go bare legged. With the silver sandals, if your legs will pass muster, even a bit of fake tan can help if they don't . Then I see no reason why you need to wear tights.

You could go either way without looking out of place.

If the event is indoors I think go no tights.

It might look odd on an ordinary day in an office, but not at an evening event.

I'd go bare legged but pop on some glowy body lotion to give them a delicate shimmer.

I have that dress (I think!) and you could definitely go with either bare legs or tights. If you think the sandals would look better then bare legs would be fine.

(personally my legs are positively luminously white at this time of year so tights all the way...)
