Hello,

I seem to have ended up with lots of odd bits of bed linen and I want lots of nice new sets as we've lots of family staying over Christmas 🎄

What other options are there apart from The White Company? Or are they really the go to?

Thank you!

Hello, this thread is a little old and the links are out of date. Take a look at this handy page for a round up of Mumsnetters’ favourite bed sheets.

Are you near Tk maxx? We have a superking which can be stupidly hard to find but I've bought some brilliant quality bedding from there, including Frette which is eyewateringly expensive usually.

The Secret Linen Store, they have lovely bed linen, I looked for ages and have been very pleased with the choice, quality and price. They have excellent high thread count plain Portuguese white bed linen too, good value.

I also love Yves Delorme, but that is another price bracket entirely!

I have just bought pillows from Mitre after reading a rec on here. They supply hotels. There are two sites, one for the public and one for trade (bettrer range, prices shown ex VAT) but you can buy from either.

Beaumont & Brown do lovely stuff too! We have king sized pillows and their Oxford pillowcases are lovely.

Yy tkmax always worth having a look, m&s/John Lewis/Laura Ashley all do really good bedding as well as, the online options mentioned upthread.
I think white company quality has gone down recently.

Seasalt bedding is very nice 👌 as is toast. Oh so expensive. But my philosophy is that you spend almost 1/3 of your life in it!!

Another vote for Soak & Sleep here.

Bringmetea I have the soak and sleep French linen in dark grey - it is gorgeous and gets better with each wash. Would thoroughly recommend it

My white company bedding wore through to rags in two years and the shop assistant told us anything over six months is fair wear and tear.

I use just linen.co.uk now.

I've seen yves delorme and frette in tk maxx but I wanted black & it was mostly white/cream.

Don't like The White Company - creases terribly in he tumble dryer!

Sheridan? Lovely Egyptian cotton with high thread count, washes and wears well.

Soak and sleep looks lovely :) I've not heard of that before!

We currently have M&S 1,000 count and it is beautiful but was brought in the sale and was expensive even then. I don't actually think they do the 1,000 count anymore but the quality has been really great.

I have also purchased from TX Max in the past but the one in the town I now live in has not turned up anything quite right in superking :(

I've also recently for the quilts i make used sheets from the finest (I know that's Tesco what ever Sainsbury's equivalent is) range, high thread count and nice and soft too. If you buying multiples that might be a more reasonably priced option.

Saw Seasalt in TK yesterday, funnily enough. Thanks for the rec, the patterns on it were very pretty.

I love Sheridan too. And if H o F has a 70% off sale definitely have a look. I have 3 sets and they all wash and wear beautifully.

One set is almost 10 years old and was used exclusively for 3 years. Haven't used it for a couple of years but am going to do a freshen up wash and stick it on this weekend. Dp will ask (as he doesn't take much notice) if it's new as it still looks pristine.

I usually get H o F Linea for sheets and plain pillowcases. Wait for the sales tho.

Ooh, Seasalt in TKMaxx. Never thought of looking for it in there. I love their bedlinen designs, but they are a) expensive and b) often out of stock (probably all been packed off to TKMaxx before I've got round to ordering!)

I have white company bedding that's as old as DD1, nearly 17 and immaculate and then DS's hasn't lasted 12 months. They've obviously gone the way of Boden in terms of quality.
Sheridan is lovely, outlet in Cheshire oaks.
