Has anyone done any of the council adult learning hobby courses in hair or beauty?

What were they like?

Ive just found out our local council run adult learning courses (not qualifications) in hair and beauty among other things. I've just signed up to facial massage and also hair plaiting, there are image review ones and find your colours too. Has anyone ever done anything like this?

I did a 10 week ceramics course which set me off on 2 years of private classes which cost a fortune but I loved it! I
I would have stayed with the council classes but the funding was cut and they were stopped. I'd love to do a beauty make-up course, or hairstyling.

Didn't really answer your question! I was working so paid full price(£50) however most of the other people were unemployed and therefore got the course for a cut rate (£10). There was one tutor for 10-12 people and we all followed the same steps to make the same project, we made boxes and wall hanging chimes joined together with wire - sounds odd but they were simple and effective.

Thank you! Glad to here of someone who has done a council adult learning course! I'm also paying full price but it seems quite cheap compared to the local college, are they kind of like taster courses?

I would love to do the make up one but it clashes with my daughters swimming lesson which is a shame!
