Under eye concealer

I am tired. Oh so tired. With dark circles to match!

I've been using various brush/wand under eye concealers for the last 12-18 months, ran out this morning and used the very end of an old Bobbi brown pot and received a very specific compliment about my makeup from a very stylish mum at the school gate. grin

So clearly time to mix it up but it doesn't look like I can find the same one anymore, it was a duo pot with a pink toned and then the concealer, which of the newer ones are the same?! I don't have time to visit a counter. Or other brand recommendations please!

Other facts which may be useful: Normal
Skin, light brown hair, blue eyes. Needs to be fast application. Don't really wear foundation these days, swish of bb cream, swoosh of blusher, dash across the eyes, sweep brush on brows and then mascara and a bit of lippy once I've dropped the kids off! Occasionally a swoosh with a mineral powder. Definitely stuck in a rut, need time sensitive solutions please!

I use Bobbi Brown's corrector with the concealer kit (concealer and powder to set it) over the top and it's amazing. Totally disguises my awful shadows. I use a concealer brush to apply and then use my fingers to blend. Sounds like this could be the newer version of your old duo pot perhaps.

The rest of your makeup routine sounds like mine! Although I've recently switched to a cream blush (a Bobbi Brown one) from powder in an effort to make myself look more dewy.

The pink toned shade is likely the corrector and the other shade the concealer. Bobbi brown still sell these products separately. Just have a look on their website and order the same shades.

seefeld could you post a link? There are so many Bobbi brown concealers that I''m not sure which one you mean? Thank you 🙂

I have similar colouring to you and I like the maybelline anti-age eraser eye. I've got the light shade.

NYX have got a good range of under eye correctors, and muuuch cheaper than BB. I used to use BB and i honestly cant tell the difference.

I don't think correctors always do the job and sometimes you need a really thick, creamy concealer too. I intend on buying the Tarte Marjucu concealer when I visit the states later this month but in the meantime I am using collection colour perfection (that may not be the actual name) lasting concealer, which was around £3/4, and it's great. I have also used -

- Nars undereye concealer
- urban decay
- maybelline fit me and maybelline undereye eraser

They've all worked fine but ironically I'm finding the collection one (i.e. The cheapest ) the best so far.

I'm a big fan of Collection's Illuminating Touch concealer (twist/click), very good coverage and easy to blend - at £4.99 it's a bargain!

Theclick I think you're probably right there. I've had a revlon one, a no 7 etc but I think I need the creamy finish. Probably especially this time of year when my skin is dryer. Thanks for all the links and tips, I knew mumsnet would have the answer! And cheaper than my pre kids solution of heading to liberty or selfridges beauty halls!

B Brown website will do refunds for all concealers if they are no good ( ie wrong colour.) You can also chat online to help with colours/shades. Try it!
