What's Karen Millen sizing like?

I'm looking to buy a dress off ebay for my xmas party. Karen Millen dresses look lovely but I have never bought from there so no idea what the sizing is like. Can anyone help?

I am 5'3 size 12.

In my experience they come up small esp around the ribcage

I think pretty true to size, or very slightly small.

Fucking tiny in my bitter experience.

Yes they cut small. Mind you everywhere else is vanity sizing.

I agree they come up small.
I'm also 5'3" and the only dress I have from there i had to alter as it was large round the chest and a bit on the long side.

Small in my experience. Size 10 most everywhere else but 12 for KM dresses. As PP mentions 10 was too tight round the ribs for me and I was buying for a wedding guest outfit - knew there'd be no way I could still breathe after a day of wedding party indulgence! 12 fit me nicely.

Tiny with no give.

I think they're probably true to real sizing. I'm a similar height to you OP, 10st 4 & pear shaped and their size 16 dresses usually fit me nicely. I'd be a size 12 or even a size 10 in M&S but then I have been for 20yrs despite putting on 2.5 stone in that time!

I find them very accurate to real sizing. And I'm not small for my size at all.

Although recent sizing is much bigger than it used to be so the bigger question is what sizing are you using?

I'm a 12 on a good day, or a 14 occasionally in everywhere 'normal' but KM doesn't cut stuff for broad shoulders or big boobs so I size up to a 16 there, especially dresses.

Hmm maybe this isn't the right make of dress for me as I am larger round the middle & ribcage and small shoulders. Sounds like I'd need a 14, but not sure I want to risk it from ebay as knowing my luck it won't fit!
Where can I get a xmas party dress that doesn't cost loads? I hate having this pressure every year, really don't want to buy something I will wear once a year! All my other dresses are a bit on the tight side.

Tiny in the bust, no use for my wide rib cage and big boobs.

I think they are old style, 1990s sizing. I can do a 10 in most shops, 8 in others but a 12 in there. Very small across the boobs in particular.

I find they cut brilliantly for my hourglass figure - the 8 fits like a glove. I often wear a 6 in the more vanity sized stores but KM is spot on for me.

Tiny!

Especially around the ribs.

I would wear a 6 in most shops but in KM an 8 just about zips over the bust (and I'm still small round chest and ribs).

Agree with PP they also have very little give, as the fabric tends to be quite rigid.
