How do I sell a Mulberry bag?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/11/2016 18:47

Dh bought me one 15+ years ago, I never used it,not even once and it occurred to me last night I could sell it.

Where?

Had a quick look on eBay ,is that the best place? It's the Mulberry equivalent of the Radley across body bag.

Any suggestions gratefully receivedSmile

I sold one on eBay recently and got a good price for it. Take good pics. Helps if you have receipt or authenticity tag and bag for it but not essential

No, not eBay. Are you on Facebook? Join us on mulberry buy and sell or mulberry swap and sell.

www.mulberry.com/gb/shop/selwood/selwood-burgundy-crossboarded-calf

It's similar to this, but not a gold but across the front.

It's the only designer bag I've ever had and I hate itHmmGrin

I've googled loads of images but can't find a match.

I'm sure I have the dust bag and receipt somewhere!

Come over to the Facebook pages. Lots of advice about selling there. Keeps you safe as a seller and you are not dealing with dodgy people on eBay.

I sold one on eBay.

The last 10 minutes of bidding was very exciting and I got a really good price.

It's probably the only thing I have sold on there and it went very smoothly.

Because I like you DmD I will offer you 25 whole British £, sterling.

But really.
Are you needing the cash? I keep my unnecessary lavish stuff at the back of the wardrobe.
It's my emergency pawn stash.

It looks like one of those items that will hold its price.

It's actually really lovely! Is it burgundy?

Have you got a photo of the actual bag? I used to have a thing for old style Mulberry (from 8-10 years ago) and got quite good at identifying styles!

If it's 15+ years old it probably isn't worth a huge amount. Their most expensive styles were rarely sold for more than £500 then, probably less. Their prices now are insane, I mean a grand for that little satchel you posted Shock

Lego cash would be handy but not desperate to sell, would just like to get an idea of the price. I'd quite like to buy myself something I actually like and would use.

Dh went to a sale in Chiswick with specific instructions from me as to which one I wanted( they weren't as pricey as they are these days and I think it was more like 20 years ago as it was well before ds, when we had disposable income!) He found the one I wanted then at the last minute swapped it for another one as he thought the leather was better quality!!!

Another vote for the Facebook pages.

I recently sold two of my mulberrys and bought one new mulberry bag.

There's three good ones that I'm aware of. But my favourite is

Mulberry-New & Preloved- Buy, Swap & Sell.

You'll find lots of people there who're really into mulberry and the sale posts get approved by admin to prevent fakes.

If you need any help with pricing pm an admin, they're really helpful.

Hmm, haven't seen one of those, but it looks very old school! Does it have tartan lining? Or a label saying "made in England" and also in French?

RockyBird · 01/11/2016 19:34

I think if it is genuine, unused and 15 years old you'll get a fair bit for it.

This will be an old Made in England one from before they went a bit shit.

Cross posted! I see it does have tartan lining Smile

I recommend Naughtipidgins Nest if you're looking for a consignment seller who really knows her old Mulberries.

Any one recognise what style it is? It looks bigger than it is in the pic and it's stiff leather. Remembered why I dont like it much- the strap is not a good length for a tall person!

Sorry x posted!

It IS old skoolGrin

Nothing inside except a leather but with Mulberry on it.

The tag on the back has the tree on one side and numbers on the other - is that good or bad?
