Would you please tell me if this is a ridiculous bridal shoe choice?

Getting married next August. Have fallen in love with these shoes but I'm not sure if the love will wear off and I'll look like a doughnut. Plus they are £255 with 20% off today.

Opinions, please. I am 23, we're a quirky couple having a quirky wedding. Do these cross the line of different to weird? Is it ridiculous to spend so much on one pair of shoes?

They really don't look like they cost that much, but I guess they look comfy. Is your dress long? I wouldn't spend that much for those shoes.

I'd be weary as you'd probably never be able to sell them on, which was going to be my reason to say buy them.... Until I saw them. Sorry.

What are you wearing with them? They look quite pricey for what they are.

They seem to cost a ridiculous amount for what they actually are. I'm not saying every bride should wear Rainbow Club satin kitten heels (we're wearing Converse when we get married in December) but they seem very expensive.

But it's your wedding and your money! What sort of dress are you having?

Love them!

You only get one pair of wedding shoes (hopefully!) go for it!

I would definitely wear them again too.

Embrace your quirkiness Grin

if they were cheap and frivolous, I'd like them.

I thought they'd be Irregular Choice!

Have you looked at Irregular Choice shoes? Just as quirky but cheaper.

I wouldn't pay that much for them... Look a lot cheaper.

But if you think they're worth it, and REALLY like them. Why not?!

There's lots of much cheaper glitter shoes in the shops.

I am not sure the bunny ears justify spending £225 on them, sorry.

Sorry, but those things sticking out of it are awful!

I don't think they are quirky enough, at that price there are loads of quirkier cool shoes out there.

Frankly, they look more like a trip to Hobbycraft than £225. Unless you would wear them again and again afterwards

Agree with others that you could get similar for much less money.

I wish I'd been more fun and less traditional with my wedding.

As an aside though, I once had a pair of glitter shoes and they absolutely ripped my feet to shreds as there was no bend in them and the outside scratchiness seemed to go inside too, they were flats though so heels might be different.

It looks to me like the bunny ears could scratch the bottom of your dress and either damage it or get annoyingly caught on the fabric. I'd avoid them but it's your choice.

If you love them, buy them.

But if you do get them now put them away until just before the big day so you don't get bored of them.

They aren't great and they don't look like great value.

If you love them and can afford them, get them. I can think of friends who could wear these and look amazing cos they'd suit their offbeat personality, IYSWIM.

I would echo what a pp said about the possibility of damaging your dress though, so maybe rethink if you're wearing a long dress.

I don't care for them at all, sorry.

I agree that if they were half the price tag I'd have a much easier time buying them. I don't really like cheap/high street glitter heels but they really stood out and I love the ears even though I know a lot of people won't. Not bought my dress yet which is probably where I should start but I've run ahead of myself. It is long so the effect would be mostly lost anyway. I would wear them again but not enough to justify the price tag. I've literally looked everywhere but haven't found anything close that caught my eye as much as them. This thread confirmed what I already thought though! Maybe back to the original idea of red t-bar heels.

To whoever suggested Irregular Choice, I did have a browse and like the concept but nothing that stood out as much as these. Thank you for the suggestion though! I just want something non-white and non-traditional.

Adorable! The price won't only reflect how they look online, it should reflect the quality of the materials, the comfort, the longevity etc. I don't know the brand but if you're confident of all those things, go for it.

Oh Flop I hadn't thought of that and the dress I have my eye on is very floaty and chiffon-y so you've made a very good point. Back to the drawing board! Any tips on finding a comfortable shoe? That's what I'm most nervous of, buying a shoe and it being horribly uncomfortable.

Charlotte Olympia, quirky but still weddingy. Well made. They are £££ though. Also in flat versions and other colours.

I wore really boring Rainbow Club shoes for my wedding. Comfy but dull. It was years ago. Statement shoes weren't really a Thing. I love the idea though. Especially if it's a pair you covet and will wear again.

It's lovely to see every few posts that someone else loves them too as I thought I was just a bit odd at first. My people! Grin

I don't think they're actually that 'quirky' for what you're paying for them. I wore a pair of gold glittery heels that were almost identical to that, just without the bunny ears and they cost me £30.

I love them!

I regret my shoe choice at my wedding. I ended up with something cheap that did the job, wish I'd got some that I really loved now.
