I've been looking for this colour of nail varnish for a while without success. I love dark nails in the winter Smile Could anyone recommend a really, really dark, almost black burgundy colour? Thanks

Chanel Rouge Noir is a classic if it's in budget.

Placemarking out of interest, I fancy something with a tiny little bit of sparkle in it too

Also came on to say Rouge Noir. Gotta be.

Was going to recommend the chanel rouge noir as well.

Rouge noir if normal polish. I'm still trying to find a good shellac replica

Was going to be a Rouge Noir from me too!

I have had my pot of rouge noir for 12 years and it's not dried up. It's amazing.

Gah! I threw my rouge noir out a year or two ago as it was so old and lumpy. I'll buy another bottle. Thanks all.

I'm wearing my Rouge Noir as I type. It's lush but it can chip if you are not careful.

Essy has a similar shade, can't remember the name and so does Rimmel (Black Cherries)

I've got to say the Rimmel black cherries lasts ages and doesn't chip easily. It's the only one of theirs that I still wear.

Barry M midnight Gelly polishes are cheap as chips and fab. Blackurrant is a purple/burgundy black and black cherry is a reddish burgundy black!

Models Own have some gorgeous dark burgundies. They're cheap and I really rate them. Diamond Luxe Marquise Maroon (has some sparkle to it) and HyperGel Brunette Red is Rouge Noir-like.

Another fan of Rimmel's 'Black Cherries' and recently bought a shade from Clair's Accessories Shock
Can't remember the name of it but it's one of their gel polishes and lasts for ages.

Rouge Noir chips way too easily. Nice colour but sub-par performance. I chucked it because it drove me nuts. OPI has some lovely almost-blacks that last much longer.

Essie Wicked. The quality is loads better than chAnel & it dries quicker too.

I would suggest the Barry M gel in black current, it goes on really well. But, it does look black, it is hard to see the red in it in certain lights.

Barry M, all the way.
