Recommend a fashion blog/site for 40+ yo?

I have lost my fashion mojo.

Boots (ankle, knee), jeans (boot, skinnies), knitwear (chunky, cashmere) etc... I am paralysed with indecision.

Just seeing some pics of normal people might help get me out of this rut.

I look at pInterest for ideas. But I am also stuck in a rut of skinnies, jumpers and boots....
I'd rather not look like the next person but its hard to look differnt without standing out!

I find style guile and school gate style a bit prim and safe.

The cardinal sin in middle age is usually the too done-up look. "I'm mad, me" isn't great either. So often I ask myself if the fantasy French/Scandi lady in my head would buy or wear it.

I agree The Frugality is good but she is about 30 I think. So doesn't preclude the over 40s enjoying it (like me!) but is the OP after an older blogger??

Ditch the age - other than for skincare it really doesn't matter.

What sort of looks have you liked in the past?

Remember that unless you're sure a blogger in unpaid, they're probably sponsored so you may well be looking at copy not reality.

A different idea - can you manage a dat out in a major city, and have a cup of coffee in pavement cafes in a few different areas. And people watch?

I'm 34 and really like Midlife Chic; her style is quite consertvative/classic but I like that her blog tracks a journey/style evolution rather than just 'this is me wearing the same thing as every other blogger at the minute and a paid link to it' that is so common now. I also enjoy her insights into other aspects of her life and the fact that she is so transparent.

For style, I like Susie Soso and The Frugality too.

I agree that people watching/pintrest etc are great for inspiration.Instagram can be good too; I am a very different body shape to Holly Willoughby but like her style and she posts what she wears on insta so you can get ideas of brands and adapt ideas for what works for you.

Personally, if starting from 'scratch' I'd go for staples thst suit your style (like a denim shirt, khaki trousers, tan boots etc) -go for classic rather than fashionable in decent quality and then have a play with accessories until you find your style/ what works for your lifestyle.
