Casual but warm, mainly jumpers

At 36, I should probably look beyond hoodies (and tracksuit bottoms) but what else is so lovely and comfortable and WARM? My confidence in my appearance and what to wear has plummeted and I'd love to look better. Strangely work wear is fine but I have no idea what to wear out of work. I'm 5ft 5 and 8-10 ish hourglass/pear. HOC winter.

What are you all wearing? Both on the top and the bottom, but jumpers are the most confusing. Thanks for any ideas Flowers

Uniqlo merino and cashmere jumpers and cardigans are my staples. I do have to resort to throwing a fleece over them sometimes!

No idea about winter colours, but all my sweaters are from cos these days. They do some lovely 'big' warm sweaters that still look stylish with jeans. I'm currently wearing this one. I barely take it off at the minute. www.cosstores.com/gb/Women/Knitwear/Jumpers_Tops/Roll-neck_merino_jumper/10672115-44104810.1#c-22755

Keep an eye out for discounted cashmere, it's so snuggly!!

I also find that if my core is covered then I'm a lot warmer. So I'm ok with tights and a skirt as long as I have layers of tops tucked into the tights and skirt, no gaps around my middle. That's mainly for work though!

Soft leggings, slouchy top and a soft thermal vest is a comfortable alternative. Look at Hush or white stuff for ideas.
Pin interest is always useful
They have lots that suit a winter

Also short cord skirt - rich red, navy, black or purple would suit a Winter with a comfortable cardigan, lacy thermal top, leggings and biker boots with warm bamboo socks is another comfortable alternative.

Did you do a House of Colour analysis.
If so their style is really worth doing
It helps you see your own style and gives a real boast.
My very very fashionable teenager said it made me look years younger
